South Yonohara Region: Taeuda 태우다

Post by Verti Edelweiss »

A spire of flames billows out into the sky surrounded by metal. Taeuda are the keepers of the eternal flame, the one that heats the precious metal of Gwejo to make Yonohara a tremendous country it is today. Along with Gwejo, Taeuda house some of the finest blacksmiths and artificers in the country with an elite academy. The people of Taeuda are passionate about their work and craft , daring, adventurous, devoted and faithful. They distribute their crafts out to the rest of the regions, making them very wealthy all over. Additionally, most adventurers come from Taeuda as they tend to have a wandering spirit.

Their leader is Haneul, a man who holds to his traditions and expects others to do the same. His son, Insoo, is much more lax, borderline lazy one could say, but is still a quality Taeudian through and through; he will take up the mantle if he sees no one is willing to do so and many enjoy leadership under him since he is mindful and emphatic, yet not overly so. Like the eternal flames, their symbols are the rising phoenix and the Lotus, keeping with tradition. The mischievous Tengu is the symbol for Taeuda underground.
