They say Yonohara was made by a sword. They say the Order dipped a cold blade into the ocean, and when they pulled it out two perfect drops fell back into the sea, and those drops became the islands of Yonohara. Legends and tales say Yonohara was made by a handful of brave men. Warriors, willing to give their lives for what seems to have become a forgotten word: honour.

Huxley's Abilities

Fri Feb 06, 2015 2:20 am

Alaric’s abilities are based upon his family line of jewel summoning or, in his case, jewel tapping. What this does is he is capable of taking the properties of a jewel or mineral and manifesting it in the physical realm. Each jewel are used for different ways...they can be offensive, defensive, transportational...many other ways to use it. However, what jewels do have in common are the three capable manifestations: spells, artifacts or giants. Heavy note: when a jewel is manifesting one form, it is not able to do two or three (yet); one form at a time for now. He is also only capable of using one jewel at a time at the moment and can only use one type of jewel once in each fight, even in chained fights.

Here is a brief explanation of each manifestation:

Spell- User is capable of taking a jewel's magical ability. This can be something as simple as a fireball to increasing Alaric speed. At rank 7, Huxley can use a spell up to ten times before the jewel will break.

Artifact- User gains a tool which the jewel manifests. Can be a weapon, defensive item, or something seemingly useless. It drains the jewel very slowly; if a gem is used throughout a whole fight, it will break at the end. Can or will not replace Huxley's jewel rapier, depending on the item.

Giant: Jewel giants deplete everything within a jewel. It instantly destroys it, but is capable of summoning a very large giant sleeping within the the gem. The word "giant" does not necessarily mean that what summoned is aggressive or offensive. In fact it refers only to the size, whether by length, width or height. While one giant can be used for transportation, another can only be used as defense, another can truly be used for offense. That too can be broken down to what they kind of transportation (sky, water, land), what kind of defense (magical, physical or both) or the manner of offense (speed, strength, range, melee) they have.

Spell vs Rank Growth

- create combined gems to make new spells, artifacts and giants (rank 5)
- use two gems at the same time (rank 4).
- use one gem’s artifact at the same time as a gem’s spell (rank 4)
- use one gem’s artifact/spell while a gem’s jewel giant is released. (rank 3)

(Please check these before I get to these ranks to make sure they are legit by the time I get to them.)

Spoiler:
Spell: Gives the ability to manipulate fire. There are only three spells so far that are able to be used:

Fireball: Releases a ball of fire in the direction which the user is facing.

Flame Shield: Encases its user in a barrier of heat. Slightly protects against fire attacks, while also dealing light burn damage to whatever comes within a half of a foot of the user.

Flamethrower: Spews a cone of flames in the direction the user is facing. 2 feet in height, 4 feet long and 3 feet wide.

Artifact: Flame Chakram; A sharp edged throwing weapon that makes a line of flame as it flies through the air. Like a boomerang, it returns to its user after being thrown. Can also be used as a melee weapon.

Jewel Giant (Pele): Summons a jewel giant of 10 feet, bangles upon its wrists and ankles. It’s weapon is the scythe. Incapable of moving on its own, it mirrors only its users movements, regardless of what weapon they have.

Spoiler:
Spell: Teleports user through long distances (such as one faction or another faction, or one landscape to another landscape). Is not completely precise in its "drop off" area, at early ranks and can even be within a mile of the designated area.

Artifact: Double jewel bladed staff. This takes the place of Huxley's cane sword.

Jewel Giant (Freya): Hovering transportation craft capable of going at very high speeds. Travel through land and across sea. Long, not wide, or tall and can hold up to 4 people or 2500 pounds( in other words, cargo carrier).

Spoiler:
Spell: User is able to fly or hover for a moment. Drains the gem slowly as flight is being used. At higher levels, will drain the gem slower, but at lower levels drains fairly quickly.

Artifact: Wind Blade; Summons a two handed long sword to be used. Its slashes has the ability to throw projectiles off course. Takes the place of Huxley’s cane sword.

Jewel Giant (Feng Po): Giant is summoned with cupped open hands. Anything (non-living) within its hands its time is either reversed or sped up. If reversed, it can only be viewed, but not permanent. If sped up, it can be permanent for the cost of something of equal or greater value.

Spoiler:
Spell: Earth Spire; A spike of earth erupts from underneath a foe/target. Possible even if the ground is not made of the material ( material is manifested by the gem itself).

Artifact: Sturdy Anvil; Sort of useless! Unless you suddenly want to do some random smithing out of no where...and even so Huxley doesn't know a damned thing about smithing.

Jewel Giant (Brigid): A giant made for pure strength is summoned with a giant hammer. She comes in momentarily to make 3 crushing blows at the enemy. Regardless of whether it hits anything, it will make the cracks within the earth, or if within a contained area, crush what it can.

Spoiler:
Spell: Purifies unholy or corrupted energies and environments through touch.

Artifact: Purity Cloak; The person wearing the cloak is harmed far less from corrupt or dark energies.

Jewel Giant (Amaterasu): A thin, holy giant draped in robes appears, hovering in the air with clasped hands. Within a 50 foot radius (rank 7) of the giant, anything within it is rid of corrupt or evil energies. Anything of that nature will be harmed upon contact of the ground. Giant is still susceptible to attack.

Spoiler:
Spell: Fires a simple, long bolt of energy surrounded in blue lightning.

Artifact: Freyr Crossbow ( 2 hand); Sleiphnir Hand Crossbow (1 hand); Depending on which artifact is being summoned, it will or will not take the place of Huxley’s rapier. Hand Crossbow fires the weakest of bolts and Crossbow fires of medium strength.

Jewel Giant (Artemis): Manifests as a very large dark green bastilla. Obviously for very long ranges. Holds giant electric bolts that refill some time after being shot (3 posts). Must be operated by two people in order to work properly. Best for war.

Spoiler:
Spell: Places a very strong, white cube-like barrier around an item that can fit within it. 5 feet in height, 5 feet in length on all sides. Barrier can only be placed once before being removed and then placed again.

Artifact: Galiant Defender; A white shield, magic’d to withstand energy attacks and slashes very well, appears. Shatters easily to blunt weapons such as maces, hammers, or anything resembling a bowling ball being launched at it. Does not replace Huxley’s cane sword.

Jewel Giant (Ix Chel/Lady Rainbow): The largest of giants in white hard white armor appears with a towering shield. From its shield it creates a wall 50 feet in length, width and height. Does not attack and acts as a giant defensive wall.
