Alaric’s abilities are based upon his family line of jewel summoning or, in his case, jewel tapping. He is capable of taking the properties of a jewel or mineral and manifesting it in the physical realm. Each jewel is used for different ways...offensively, defensively, for utility, even for transportation. However, all jewels have three capable manifestations: spells, artifacts or becoming giants.

It is important to note that when a jewel is manifesting one form, it is not able to do others, at least for now. He is also only capable of using one jewel at a time at the moment and will come equipped with one type of jewel once in each fight, even in longer fights. Even when he begins to fight, he is passively creating a new jewel, but it'll take a while for it to finish in order to be used right away. It typically takes about twenty or so in-game minutes for a fresh new jewel to be created.

Here is a brief explanation of each manifestation:

Spell- User is capable of taking a jewel's magical ability. This can be something as simple as a fireball to increasing Alaric speed. At rank 6, Huxley can use a spell up to twelve times before the jewel will break.

Artifact- User gains a tool which the jewel manifests. Can be a weapon, defensive item, or something seemingly useless. It drains the jewel very slowly; if a gem is used throughout a whole fight, it will break at the end. Can or will not replace Huxley's jewel rapier depending on the item.

Giant: Jewel giants deplete everything within a jewel. It instantly destroys it, but is capable of summoning a very large giant sleeping within the the gem. The word "giant" does not necessarily mean that what summoned is aggressive or offensive. In fact it refers only to the size, whether by length, width or height and every jewel giant is different in nature.

    use one gem’s artifact at the same time as a gem’s spell (rank 4)
  • use one gem’s artifact/spell while a gem’s jewel giant is released. (rank 3)

Spell: Gives the ability to manipulate fire. There are only three spells so far that are able to be used:

Fireball: Releases a ball of fire in the direction Huxley is facing, the size of a basketball normally.

Flame Shield: Encases its user in a barrier of heat. Has slight fire resistance, while also dealing light burn damage to whatever comes within a half of a foot of the user.

Flamethrower: Cone of flames is spewed in the direction that Huxley directs. 4ft L x 3ft W x 2ft H.

Artifact: Flame Chakram; A hoop of metal in a silver color with red gems embedded in the surface. Makes a line of flames as it flies through the air. It returns to Huxley after being thrown. It can be used physically as well as a light swinging weapon. Diameter is 16 inches across.

Jewel Giant (Pele): A very tall, tanned female with long black hair in a red muumuu (off the shoulder, loose dress crossed between a shirt and robe). 9 feet or 3 meters tall. A crown of red flowers adorns her head. She carries a large scythe at her side. She mirrors the movements of Huxley the moment she is summoned, regardless of the weapon(s) that he holds.

Spell: Teleportation. Can teleport the user or target across long distances, such as one faction to another. Is not completely precise in its designated area and at early ranks can even be within a mile of the desired area.

Artifact: Double jewel bladed staff. This takes the place of Huxley's cane sword.

Jewel Giant (Freya): A hovering transportation craft. It is sleek in design in metallic silvers and grey with light purple and teal detailing. It is capable of going at very high speeds across land and sea. Its shape is rather long than wide and is tall. For people, it is small, as it holds 4 people, but has a cargo bay area where it can hold 2500 pounds.

Spell: User is able to fly or hover for a moment. This drains the gem slowly as flight is being used. At higher levels it will drain the gem slower, but at lower levels it will drain rather quickly.

Artifact: Wind Blade; A two handed long sword which can throw projectiles off course. It takes place of Sebby.

Jewel Giant (Feng Po): The statue of a woman draped in silky dresses is summoned standing. Anything (non-living) within its hands has its time either reversed or sped up. If reversed, i can only be viewed, but not permanent. If sped up, it can be permanent for the cost of something of equal or greater value.

Spell: Earth Spire; A spike of earth comes up under the target. Possible even if the ground is not made of the material originally.

Artifact: Sturdy Anvil; An anvil that falls from the sky down in front of Huxley. Sort of useless, unless you feel like doing some smithing out of nowhere.

Jewel Giant (Brigid): A giant’s hammer comes in to make three consecutive blows to crush a target. It will make cracks in the earth or crush what it can regardless of whether or not it hits anything.

Spell: Purify: Purifies unholy or corrupted energies and environments through touch up to the same rank as Huxley himself.

Artifact: Purity Cloak; Shown as a cloak of gold and white, sparkling with a furred hood. Person wearing the cloak is harmed far less from corrupt or dark enemies.

Jewel Giant (Amaterasu): A robed figure above the area appears hovering in the air in prayer. Within a 50 foot radius anything within it is cleansed of status changes and corrupt or evil energies. Buffs and debuffs are included. At rank 6 and 7, this lasts for 10 minutes. Anything that is dark or corrupt alignment will be harmed upon contact of the ground or air in a round shape.

Spell: Lightning Bolt: Fires a simple, long bolt of energy surrounded in blue lightning.

Artifact: Diana’s Longbow (2 hand); Apollo’s Hand Crossbow (1 hand): Diana’s Longbow will take the place of Seb while Apollo’s will be a companion weapon. Hand Crossbow fires the weaker of bolt while Diana’s fires bolts of medium to high strength.

Jewel Giant (Artemis): A very large, dark green ballista. For very long ranges. Holds giant electric bolts that refill on their own after some time (3 posts) Must be operated by at least two people in order to work properly.

Spell: Places a strong, white cube-like barrier around an item that it can fit in a 5x5 space. The barrier can only be placed once before being removed and then placed again.

Artifact: Galiant Defender: A white, glass like shield magic’d to within stand energy attacks and slashes very well. However it shatters easily to blunt weapons such as maces or hammers. Does not replace Sebby.

Jewel Giant (Ix Chel/Lady Rainbow): A gigantic armored woman appears with a towering shield. From its shield, it creates a wall 50 feet in length, width and height. It acts like a very large defensive wall to separate two sides. Lasts for 5 minutes at Huxley’s rank currently.
