As winter approaches Kwandrivia, a spine chilling wind covers the lands as a dark force is felt...

the 5th Study - Meterology: Part 2

The frigid waters of the Arctic Ocean and ice are all that's located up in the north of Kwandrivia. The only things capable of surviving in these temperatures are the Yuki School of Mermaid.

the 5th Study - Meterology: Part 2

Thu Jan 21, 2016 7:04 pm

The small sphere which Revil had created earlier suddenly flash, as soon as the flash dissipated, Revil would appear. Immediately, his Perimetre was shifted from Keiz to here, allowing him to have much more influence over the area. As he floated above the waters, he used his influence over the area to quickly place Sphere's of Photogess under the water that would shine bright illuminating the depth of the ocean. As he did this, he used the light bouncing around as radar-like vision. At the same time, the feelings of the mermaids and any advanced life could be felt. At the moment, no danger was felt, no hostile intent and nothing of the nature. He then focused on the deepest ball of light and warped to it. Emitting a powerful barrier beforehand so the pressure of the water did not kill him. There was also a small opening connecting to the surface so air could be funnelled into it, it was much less energy taxing than creating the needed air. the search would now begin.

♦As Revil charged deeper into the depths of the Artic Ocean, he would continue to feel the minds of merfolk roaming about, most too far away to sense or see him, though the closest ones were a few hundred yards out from him, and would probably see the light of his Photogess if he continued to move into darker waters. Below, he might sense some aquatic life, though one stood out in particular. A large amount of energy was resonating from a large coral reef, which seemed to be losing its color and turning sickening shades of grey and green. The coral itself was massive, as was the amount of energy humming inside. Most marine life, of which there was a little in this ocean, staid a good distance from the coral.♦

"A coral reef in such cold waters, this world still seems to amaze and intrigue me" Revil would think to himself as he moved closer towards it.

As he moved closer, some of the Resonating energy would be caught in his Feedback Field and absorbed to be used later. At the same time, he was scanning the energy to see exactly what it was using an ability that allowed him to see the history of something by touching it, or interacting with it. He would do this, so that he knew what was generating it, so he did not hastily charge in just as an old friend would 'generally' do.

Meanwhile, as he did this, several of the Photogess orbs would be sent into this coral reef, and the light that was being projected by them would be used to create a map of the area. After which they would move and repeat until a full map was generated.

♦The moment the sphere of Photogess entered the coral, the coral seemed to suddenly rupture, like a water-filled balloon bursting outwards in glorious explosion. There was a sonic boom that burst through the water as the explosion occurred, pushing all away from it, while the frigid water began to fill with smoky dark energy, like ink clouding the waters and hiding whatever was moving within. Whatever it was had massive shape and snaked about in the growing darkness of the tainted waters, which quickly spread out towards Revil, soon to engulf him if he wasn't careful.♦

As soon as his Photogess moved through the coral, the coral would explode. Instantly, Revil took note of all that was detected before the explosion. At the same time, the space around him was illuminated from Photogess, in front of him, the Photogess seemed to be clouded out, and what ever it was that was clouding it, was now heading towards him. As the cloud/ink moved towards Revil, he would focus on the space around it. As he focused, the water would begin rushing upwards, like a jet stream. The jet stream would shoot straight upwards where it would be ejected out of the water like a fountain.

While doing this, several Photogess Orbs would be sent into the jet stream to keep an "eye" in the cloudy stuff. In addition to this, he would use Mechanology to create Ring's all around the barrier of Mental Energy. These Rings would be used as makeshift boosters that would move him at greater speeds through the water than just using his mental barrier alone would.

As Revil moved, streams of Photogess would be left behind him, and several dozen more Orb would begin floating around him, outside of the barrier but within range to effectively use them, if things resorted to that.

"I am here to retrieve something, I mean no harm" Revil would say mentally, hoping what ever it was might just reply back.

♦As Revil rushed backward, the mass of shadowy energy/ink pulsed forwards, the presence within blasting forwards after him. If he was paying attention, he might notice that the ink/dark energy would shy away from any Photogess that was left. The mass quickly accelerated towards Revil closing the distance with relative ease. As it came close, thick jet black squid tentacles would break through the mass of ink/dark energy and blast towards Revil, each tipped with a talon like claw or spike. The tentacles attempted to grab hold of Revil, either by piercing him or wrapping around whatever they could touch, in attempt to drag him back into the inky black mass of pulsing energy where whatever large presence still lurked. If he was also paying attention, he might sense the ink/dark energy was very familiar...something he might have faced before.♦

Despite his attempts to communicate with whatever it was, the thing continued his way. As he moved to avoid it, he would begin unleashing Crimson Shaddow, that was made specifically to consume and convert Dark Energies/Shaddow/Darkness into light. As the Crimson Shaddow was unleashed, Revil would call forth the Armageddon Sword. As he did this, he would use his Psionic Speed to cause his arm that was holding the sword to move at blurring speeds. As he used this, he would attack any Tentacles/Arms that came close to him.

♠Those tentacles that were knocked aside or cut by unleashed more inky dark energy, which began to solidify all around him, attempting to trap him in place. Meanwhile, he would find his Crimson Shaddow to be a little less effective against the dark energy ink, though as it was eventually converted, Revil would probably notice its structure was nearly exactly the same as Shaddow...however, it seemed to combined with a physical agent also, making it more difficult to deal with as just dark energy/Shaddow that it normally manifested as. More tentacles continued to shoot out as the inky black aura drew nearer, soon to over take and engulf Revil.♠

His Feedback Field and Crimson Light continued to work their ways absorbing Shaddow and other Energies and transferring them to Revil. As they did this, Revil would gather all the absorbed energy and begin converting it into Photogess and Makina, which, immediately after would be expelled in a massive beam ahead of himself. This was his Crudus, the Neutron Stampeder, a combination of Mysticism and Mechanology to create a beam of highly potent energy meant primarily for attacking purposes. As this was going on, Revil's mind would also be focusing on the waters the creature was moving through, and would use Teliology to forcibly compact the water, so much so it would turn to a solid if enough time and force was used. His objective was not to completely destroy his enemy, but immobilize and weaken it so he could see what it was. Anything physical that might try and get close to Revil would almost immediately be subjected to the solidifying water as it was closest to Revil.

♠Upon the beam of energies being fired into the inky blackness, a bellow could be heard even through the water and something massive darted out from it, moving through the water with blurring speed. However, the further it got away from this Shaddow Ink aura, the creature became slower and more susceptible to attacks. Eventually it would turn back towards Revil and pause for a split second, before darting in. This would give Revil the chance to see exactly what the creature was: A massive eel of anaconda like proportions, however, the back 1/4 of the creature's body sprouted long black squid like tentacles with a hook like claw at the end, which whipped this way and that, helping to propel the creature through the water, but also aid in the attacks. As the creature darted forwards, more tentacles whipped outwards, attempting to attack Revil from various angles while the eels mouth extended outwards and shot towards Revil's mid-quarters, attempting to take a massive bite out of him. As the creature continued to move through the water, more Shaddow Ink would be expelled from itself, starting to build its aura back up again.♠

Not wasting any time, Revil would immediately begin attacking the eel-like creature with potent and powerful attacks. As the creature came out of it's protection, Revil would have a much easier time using Teliology to grasp hold of it. With the creature now visible, greater focus could be put on doing so. While doing this, Revil would begin summoning forth hundreds upon thousands of rain sized beams of Photogess, each of which would blast towards the creature while Revil was slowing it. If any of the eel-mouths made it close to Revil he would use Psionic Speed to move his with blurring speed to attack it with his Armageddon Sabre.

♠Revil wound find as he attempted to grasp the eel, that he would have trouble locking it down tightly, even with telekinesis, as though its slippery body were also metaphysically slippery. However, its movement and speed were hindered enough to make it slow, making it impossible for the eel to evade the attacks. Instead, its body suddenly glowed with fierce light and a moment later, it discharged a large amount of electrical energy from its body, which conducted through the sea waters well, and coursed through the sea in ripples outwards. This sudden burst of energy came just as Revil's attacks neared, attempting to dampen the impact of the photogess as well as attack Revil. As the light from the eel's and Revil's attacks died down, Revil might notice that the creature wasn't moving, in fact it seemed to have been knocked unconscious by the impact of whatever was left of Revil's attacks after making it through the electrical discharge. Upon mental surveillance, Revil might glean the fact that this was actually an Anneptis whose mind was clouded with Shaddow-type corruption, which continued to linger in its subconscious. The tome that Revil was on the Anneptis's person, though tucked safely away within itself, so that Revil might have a hard time extracting it unless the Anneptis was conscious. Otherwise, the rest of the Shaddow energy from before completely dissipated.♠

Not a second would pass before Revil, the Anneptii, the Tome, and most of the water surrounding the two would be hastily Quantized out of the area and back to Keiz with the aid of the Agget Zeta. This was done so fast, some of the electrical attack would be brought with it all.
