To the Andrius Sea!: Finding a Tome

Image

Seperating the Murkwood Keys and Nchuleft is the Andrius Sea. It's crystal waters shine blue and reflect the sun giving the appearance of sapphire. If not for the over protective Andrius School of Mermaid residing in the Garrus Trench, these waters would be a massive tourist area.

A loud ping could be heard almost before the black mist began forming, this was Revil's newtype senses telling him danger was imminent. Thus, with superhuman reaction, he would have his Flight Pack flare up shooting him upwards with g-forces no normal human could dream of ever handling. As Revil moved up, he drew forth one of the Pack's Energy Blades and begin swiping at anything that blocked his path as he moved upwards using his psionic speed. Distance was again needed, and hopefully nothing was blocking his path up, if not, it would be trouble.

♠As Revil shot upwards, the spiked Shaddow balls would fallow, continuously attempting to bludgeon him to death. They moved quickly, nearly as fast as Revil, and anytime they were cut apart, they would dissolve into the Shaddow's smoke like form, only to reform again and target Revil once more. The Shaddow balls also began to increase in number, more reforming from the ground below and blasting upwards towards Revil. By the time that Revil got to the distance he was comfortable with, at least 4 dozen would already be in the air, targeting Revil from all sides and continuously attacking.

Meanwhile, the Shaddow below managed to reform the gargoyle, though this time the creature was mainly forged with hardened Shaddow, making it even more deadly. With a roar, the gargoyle shot into the air, moving much more quickly than before, and began to circle around the space where Revil was, looking for an opening in the Shaddow Ball attack, ready to strike at Revil with massive force.♠

After shooting upwards and gaining the needed distance, Revil would lock onto each of the balls floating around him, attempting to bludgeon him and once he did this, the balls would finally be here to hit him, this was easily dealt with, using his Purge. Like a force push, anything, and everything, Revil wanted would be mentally forced away from him, down to the atom if needed. After the balls had been hopefully pushed back thin beams, almost pencil sized in width beams of Positronic Energy would shoot from Revil, all precisely aimed at the Shaddow that was around him. At the same time, the space in front of the gargoyle, between Revil and it, would suddenly begin to distort. Revil was building a Temporal Wake there, which, would if the Gargoyle hit it, attempt to slow it down. Multitasking, it was something Newtypes did best, even better than the General and his quantum computing systems. If the beast did end up hitting the Temporal wake, and was slowed down, Revil would unleash a stream of Baseball width Positronic Energy at the gargoyle, hopefully punching a hole clean through it and destroying any matter connects to it.

♠As the sphere's where blasted backwards, they would dissolve as usual leaving a ring of black Shaddow smoke around the perimeter of the purge's area. The gargoyle would indeed suddenly blast in, hitting the Temporal Wake, and indeed being slowed, before being hit by the Positronic Energy, quickly ripped apart. Whatever stone material that comprised the gargoyle was indeed destroyed, however, the Shaddow, being energy, was simply dispersed into its smoke like form. A second later after the attack, the Shaddow from the ring and from the gargoyle would fuse together and resolidify, become suddenly much larger than it had been before. It suddenly rushed all at once towards Revil, as the gargoyle reformed, completely out of Shaddow. It ripped and slashed at Revil while attempting to completely surround him, using wings and tail. Shaddow tendrils also formed out from it, spiked and moving at lightning speeds, attempting to both grasp and hold Revil where he was. If he struggled against them, he was in danger of being ripped apart by them as well.♠

The Purge would dissipate, and Revil would be confronted with the new form the gargoyle had taken, one of pure energy. This was troubling, however it was still slowed thanks to the temporal wake. Now in it's slowed state, combined with the Futurepath ability a newtype had, Revil could easily predictthe possible paths attacks would take. Like before another distortion of space would occur. This one, made anything that passed through it, speed up, exponentially, at the molecular scale at speeds that would cause the very connections of those atoms to explode. This meant any air within the creature, any air it pulled into the distortion, anything non energy would just explode, and violently, as splitting atoms normally did. Revil would continue to watch the area mentally, just to make sure nothing invisible or something like that came his way.

♠Revil would find that the gargoyles new structure was rather air-tight...meaning there was no explosions happening within. The exploding air that hit the outside of the creature was powerful enough to propel it backwards several hundred feet, however, this time, the creature was not entirely dissolved. Rather, the front of the creature was dissolved, clouds of Shaddow like smoke billowing off of a otherwise unshaken Shaddow skeleton. The Shaddow shifted, being pulled back onto the creature and reforming/restoring it back to how it was before. The creature let out another bellowing roar, unleashing blasts of sound/wind again in Revil's direction, though the waves were widespread, so that it was hard to dodge. The gargoyle then blasted forwards again towards Revil, clearly becoming stronger and more resistant by the minute. As the gargoyle approached closer, he began to spin around, and as he did, the Shaddow that was apart of his form shifted around him, sending out spikes all across his body in a network, as he then attempting to tunnel into Revil, hitting him with the large mass of the creature, and overtaking him with its overwhelming force and size.♠

The moment the creature was propelled backwards, Recil would conjur up another distortion of space, around this one, in case the creature tried to go around it, were multiple smaller ones that were a lot more invisible. The main one however was a portal that lead to the same dimension the Kydarin Crystal's energy came from, also know as the Void. The distortions around the portal, were strong mental forces, that acted like force pushes to guild the creature into the dimensional portal. All of this required Revil's full attention, newtype brain or not. The creature would find it's wind blast sucked into the large portal ahead of it. Revil meanwhile stayed put, focusing the metal disruptions and the main portal.

♠As the wind/sound waves disappeared into the portals, the gargoyle took notice and suddenly dispersed before it came too close to the portal, the Shaddow that made up its being becoming like smoke, and suddenly vanished. A few moments later, the Shaddow suddenly started to reform behind Revil, all of it having split off as tiny, undetectable increments of the energy, which all circumvented the portals, and returned together on the other side of Revil. The gargoyle quickly solidified out of this, and then "pounced" on Revil, raking talons and spikes all around and through Revil's area, attempting to slice him to ribbons. Meanwhile, on the ground below where the gargoyle was awoken, a pool of Shaddow formed and began to pulse, first slowly then more rapidly and with much strength each time.♠

When Revil noticed the Gargoyle had vanished, he immediately dropped control of the elaborate portal system he'd made. Almost immediately after dropping the portals, a stasis Field would pull itself around Revil just meters from his body. This would slow anything down that came into contact with it exponentially. He could feel his energy pool sapping and dropping at rates leagues faster than what they did when he was a Shrew. It was immense, and he was losing this battle.Using his control over himself, he would cause the space within the Stasis field to be quantized and sent well above the island. When appearing, he would scan the things body to see if it had a mental presence. He wanted to make sure this wasn't an eclipse or something bad like that. Like he had before, he called forth the Agget Zeta and the Holocaust dispelling the Rifle he had before. The same was done with his Weapons back in exchange for his High Output one. Directly after this, a mental construct would form behind the Shaddow gargoyle, just to see what would happen.

♠The gargoyle turned in confusion once Revil disappeared, turning about in mid-air. Then it spotted Revil, and turned, blasting towards him, completely ignoring the mental construct. Spears of Shaddow would be launched off the gargoyle like giant porcupine quills. The gargoyle continued on, attempting to again get towards Revil, and once in melee would attempt to rip him apart as he had tried before. Meanwhile, the pool of Shaddow below continued to pulse with more and more power, though nothing else moved, nor did the pool release any Shaddow, rather it seemed to be concentrating it.♠

Now further away, Revil turned his attention back to the Gargoyle, whom was heading is way. As the Gargoyle blasted off towards him, the Mental Construct would begin acting on it's own, and would head down to investigate and attack the anomaly on the island. The Mental Construct would begin firing blasts of Psionic energy/force at it. Revil himself in the sky, would keep his distance, staying out of the gargoyles range. From afar, while moving away but keeping distance, Revil would use his RHS to call forth several balls of Photon energy, that he would fire off a the Gargoyle.

♠No sooner had the mental construct gotten closer to the pulsing pool of Shaddow, nor had Photon energy nearly reached the gargoyle, and suddenly the pool gave a final, and much stronger pulse, enough to create tidal waves in the sea all around the island. Then the pool remained motionless, but only for a second. Then, with one swift movement, an arm of gigantic proportions shot out of the pool, reaching skyward towards Revil and the gargoyle. At first, Revil might be concerned with the arm reaching out to grab him, but if he waited, he would see that he was not its target. The hand instead reach out and grasped the gargoyle, its hand large enough to easily completely surround the gargoyle, before then pulling it straight down, back into the pool, where they both disappeared. After the hand and gargoyle vanished, the Shaddow pool would began to grow smaller and smaller, until vanishing altogether itself, leaving a single black glyff on the sand, as though it was scorched or burned there. The glyff gave off a very small energy signature very similar to that of Shaddow, though it was so tiny that, anyone outside the island itself would not be able to detect it...unless perhaps they already knew it was there. After Revil's enemy disappeared, everything went back to silence and serenity on the island, as well as the surrounding seas, except perhaps for those tidal waves.♠

Revil's Newtype senses as they always did warned him of the giant hand, with that warning he pulled back extremely quickly while locking his senses and mind onto the origin of the hand to see if anything was lurking within it. The Mental construct that was all but ignored, would invstigate the small island with the glyph, it would head down there and scan it over a few times with a RHS generated scanner. After this, Revil himself would begin moving closer to it, but not too close in case things went nuts again.

♦Revil, upon attempting to mentally locate anything within the hand, or the one controlling it, would find nothing...not a trace of a controller within or elsewhere. As for the Glyff, nothing other than its tiny Shaddow based energy signature could be figured out from scanning it. If someone had cast it, from whatever a distance, they were clearly skilled in leaving no trace of themselves. It seemed, if one would continue to investigate, that the Shaddow had almost been acting of its own accord...or someone had left it behind as a trap, and their evidence had been erased after all the time since they had been here. All the while, nothing changed in the environment, it remained peaceful as before, the tidal waves now further in the distance, moving over small islands, and eventually dissipating into the seas.♦

After all had calmed, Revil would continue to search for the tome, only to forget in the haste of the battle that he had it all along. It finally clicked into him, and once he had it he headed back to Medius, whom was waiting.

"All is good now, if you want, the Agget Zeta can take us back to Keiz" Revil would say dispelling all his equipment except the Zeta.
