To the Andrius Sea!: Finding a Tome

Image

Seperating the Murkwood Keys and Nchuleft is the Andrius Sea. It's crystal waters shine blue and reflect the sun giving the appearance of sapphire. If not for the over protective Andrius School of Mermaid residing in the Garrus Trench, these waters would be a massive tourist area.

To the Andrius Sea!: Finding a Tome

Sun Nov 30, 2014 11:17 am

Just off the shore, near a sandbar, a Void Portal would form, this would be the one created by Medius. Revil was first to exit, as he entered first before, after exiting, he would find himself chest deep in water. The water itself was warm, being in the tropical area it was, but the fact Revil was still wearing his cap and uniform wasn't pleasant. Now, he was soaked, wet and heavy...

"Shame I can't come here to relax" Revil would say to no one at the moment.

Not soon after the comment he would use the RHS to call forth the High Output Flight Pack, which would lift him off the sandbar and have him hover just above the water. Right after this he would use the RHS to make all the moisture within his clothes dispel making them dry once more.

\I would appear after Revil, closing the portal behind me. I would then make my way across the beach, shedding clothing until I wasn't wearing anything but boxers. I then took a seat on the sad, letting the sun wash over my bare skin. I also threw a small orb of Shaddow upwards, whispering "Crudus" as I did, making sure that even as I lay on the sand, I could watch him wherever he went, even after closing my eyes./

Good luck...

♠Off in the distance, there was another smaller island separated from the one they were on by a small, pretty shallow amount of water over a sand bar. Upon this other island there was a large pile of boulders surrounded by many palm trees. If looked at on different levels other than just physically, the pile of boulders was giving off an ominous presence, possibly striking enough to be investigated. Otherwise, there seemed to be nothing else in the area...for the time being...♠

After Medius arrived and wished Revil good luck, Revil started floating away from where Medius was and as he did so he waved towards Medius before turning towards one of the small islands.

"Thank you" Revil would say picking up speed using his Pack to fly faster.

After leaving Medius behind, Revil would make it to the first island and lightly touch down upon it, after that the wings on his pack would fold down until they were needed. From there he would mentally search the area for the tome by using his mental force to see what had changed recently in the area.

♠A little while after touching down on the ground, Revil would feel tremors through the ground, and a moment later from that, the pile of boulders would explode outwards, unleashing rocky shrapnel across the island, threatening to slice and dice Revil up where he stood, and anywhere else he went too. In the middle of where the boulders were was a huge shape, radiating dark energy. As it turned towards Revil, he might be able to make out that it was a large dragon like gargoyle creature, with a stone solid exterior, armed with wings, long limbs, with a spear ax and shield, as well as a long tail ending in a double-ax head.♠

♠As it turned towards Revil, it let out a deafening roar, that unleashing a large blast of sound and wind in Revil's direction. It then charged forwards, rushing Revil with long ax, attempting to spear or slice him up.♠

In literally the blink of an eye, Revil's arm would shoot upwards calling forth the Holocaust in mid swing. As he moved he targeted each piece of rock and using psionic speed would begin cutting them up with speed that causes his arms to look invisible to normal eyes. After this, Revil would use his pack to begin flying backwards. As he flew backwards Revil's Newtype senses would alert him of the coming hostile attack. A quick, speedy burst would shoot Revil to the left, which would hopefully be enough to avoid the attack, or have it scathe him.

♠Being the wind/sound attack was wider range than the actual thrust, it would naturally catch Revil as he was dodging, however, doing less damage, and actually helping to further boost him out of the way of the spear attack. The shadow gargoyle turned after its attack, looking for where Revil went, and upon spotting it, would unleashing a wound up swing of his ax, which he attempted to slice Revil in half with, while covering a wide area around him. His other hand kept the shield at the ready, in case Revil attempted anything...offensive. After swiping, the shadow gargoyle would leap into the air, expanding its wings, and began to circle around the island, looking to target Revil wherever he was at this point. While he was in the air, his winds created powerful crosswinds over the island, drawing anything and everything towards its center. Also, if one were to look closely enough, it would seem as if some dark energy were gathering or building up around the gargoyle itself, like smoke in a tight aura around it.♠

Revil was indeed hit by the sound attack. It would pop his ears and cause a terrible ringing he didn't like, it was like a sound grenade or something. The attack was quickly followed up by a swing of the beasts large pole axe. While half stunned by the loud sound. Revil was still able to defend himself, thus he would use the Holocausts whip to try and catch the axe and pull it free from the beasts grasp. At the same time, he called forth a Pistol and began firing bolts of Kinetic energy at the creature in an attempt to try and blast it's head off. Hopefully these actions would keep the monster from moving into the course of action it had set upon after swinging it's axe.

♠As Revil's whip connected with the pole ax, the shadow gargoyle would pulled back on its weapon, starting a sort of "tug of war" with Revil. As the kinetic bolts were fired, the creature would raise its shield, taking the first few of the shots. The more shots the shield took, the more cracks spider-webbed across its surface, all the while wisps of jet black, smoke like substance poured out from it, hanging in a cloud around it, the same substance as was pouring out from the gargoyle himself. The shield then started to suck the wisps back in, which seemed to repair it, as it continued to take more shots, while the surface of the shield became blacker and blacker. The gargoyle let out another roar, blasting sound waves towards Revil again, attempting to blast him off. If this didn't work, the gargoyle would whip his tail around, attempting to slash Revil in half with the ax like ending that was the gargoyle's tail.♠

In an instant, Revil began swapping out his weapons. Quickly, he released the Holocaust and Pistol dispelling them to the RHS. They were quickly replaced with a large on the spot Variable Speed Kinetic Rifle.

Image

While this was going on, his High Speed Flight Pack would also be swapped out for the Weapons Flight Pack, the Agget Zeta would also appear in his hand with plenty of time for it to absorb the blast from the sound attack and send it right back at the beast. This was followed by 4 shots of Kinetic Energy from the Weapon Packs main cannons. Two sprays of smaller Kinetic CIWS gun fire and 3 more shots of Kinetic Energy from the Variable Speed Kinetic Rifle. These were all aimed just at the beast, in a messy but wide pattern that hopefully the shield couldn't protect it from, as it was far to small.

Right after this, Revil would blast upwards and forwards attempting to fly overtop the beast, all while firing the occasional shot of Kinetic Energy from the packs Main Cannons.

♠The tail swipe was enough to take care of the first few shots that Revil rained down upon the gargoyle, however, the more Revil fired, the less that the creature had to defend itself. Very quickly, its body would be riddled with holes and cracks, all the while more and more jet black wisps, like smoke, billed out around the creature, which was screaming in agony. As Revil moved, both its tail and pole ax were swung wildly around, attempting to hit Revil out of the air, while blasts of wind from its wings would attempt to make Revil's flight much harder, attempting to make the atmosphere around the island quite turbulent, perhaps to take more attention off itself, so that it had a chance to escape. From how it was looking, the creature might succumb sooner than later to Revil's barrage of technological attacks.♠

Revil gained stance on the creature, getting well out of it's range of striking, still moving backwards he used the Main Kinetic Cannons and his Kinetic Rifle to fire at it, had to make sure it went fully down. Now that he was gaining more distance and safety, he would come to a stop in mid air. His Flightpacks, Photogess Armour and Photogess Wings all had advanced Active Mass Balance Auto-Control, this allowed them to adapt to aerial situation and changes on the fly, but unlike normal Active Mass Balance Auto-Control, Revil's didn't use a computer, it rather used his advanced newtype brain for the calculations, which was leagues better than any machine.

♠With Revil's advanced weaponry and ability to move out of range, it didn't take long to further weaken the shadow gargoyle to its breaking point. With one last thrash, the best would collapse, its body breaking down into a pile of ash and dust, though its tail, head, and other appendages remained nearly in tact, as did its weapons. In the very center of where the beast collapsed, among the dust and ash, was the Tome that Revil was searching for, as well as 30 GC. Everything else on the island and surrounding seas remained calm, without abnormal movement or change, as though the fight never took place.♠

After the fight had ended, Revil would descend towards the island and land. He kept the flight pack active, but dispelled the shield and rifle. His mental abilities, while weaker than the shrewish ones, detected no anomalies in the area. This meant that to him, the area was safe, so with that, he reached down to take the tome, with his new study inside it. After taking the tome. Revil would lift off the ground, and begin moving back to where Mirg was, he watched the area to make sure nothing else was going to ambush him.

♠The moment that Revil picked up the tome, dark energy began to leak out of the ground, filling the space and connecting to the remains of the gargoyle. If Revil was on the top of his game, and paying attention, he would find this energy very, very familiar. The Shaddow would quickly form around Revil as well, suddenly shaping into spikes, attempting to pierce Revil from all sides. More Shaddow hardened in the air around Revil, shaping into spiked balls, like mace heads, which shot around through the air, like bludgers from quidditch, attempting to pound Revil into a pulp. Meanwhile, the Shaddow would attach to the remains of the gargoyle, pulling pieces together again. Something was indeed amiss.♠
