Class 6 Mission: Trade Route - Onward to Birchbark

The Halcyon Shield is a vast expanse of bedrock, forest, and freshwater lakes that covers nearly 3/4's of the entire Kingdom of Halcyon. This massive area contains the most natural resources in all of Kwandrivia. It is thanks to the Halcyon''s strict nature preservation rules that this land has remained untouched for so many years.

Class 6 Mission: Trade Route - Onward to Birchbark

Mon Mar 14, 2016 5:13 am

Terah and Llyod would both find themselves beamed to the outskirts of the Uldreiyn Hills, on a stone path that lead into the forest beyond. A worn down sign pointed behind them, towards Zenthel City, and ahead of them to several smaller villages and the larger Birchbark City. Behind them were the Uldreiyn Hills, a desert-looking hilly field of flowers, and ahead of them was the Halcyon Shield, a massive area of forest and bedrock with thousands of small lakes and rivers. The Halcyon Shield was best compared to the Canadian Sheild.

Somewhere along the long road, Llyod and Terah would find the renegade High Elves. Either in one of the High Elven villages or along the paths somewhere, or could they be in a cave, or an island on a tiny lake, who knows.

Terah suddenly appeared in the middle of somewhere she had never been before.

"WHOA!!!" She yelled with excitement before grabbing the clawed hand of Llyod and pulling him towards the path that lead into the Halcyon Shield's forest.

It was clear Terah was excited, and she was so much so that she might not be ready for any danger than might come her way. She was also non the wiser about Llyod's odd hand, or she didn't care much, after all, there was a lot of stuff that was far more odd here on Kwandrivia.

*Lloyd followed Terah to the road*

"Now we have to find the elves correct?"

*Lloyd scanned the area now able to use his powers he summoned the tempingkuza first one attached to Lloyd and another attached to Terah just incase, the three others flew through the sky scanning the area. The Tempingkuza mushi were mostly visible to regular eyes but all anyone could see would be a small fishing line thread hanging from the sky leading up to a flying comet during the day. Following that Lloyd closed his eyes and began working the Umen imen no awai mushi imagining a short sword in a holster at his waist. As he pictured this if terah could see through the 45% visibility only maggots would seem to swarm from his head and head to his waist taking shape of a shortsword and once created returned back to Lloyds mind as fast as he could open his eyes. With only half of his attack plan summoned he held off summoning the rest so he still appeared like just an innocent child minus the visible mutations to his hands.*

♠As Terah and Lloyd continued to walk down the path, they might be able to hear sudden shrill screams off in the distance, coming from somewhere ahead and slightly to the right of them. If they continued following the path they were on, they would come to a three pronged fork in the road. One led off directly to their left, another straight and curved slightly to the right and the last veered directly to the right. The screams would continue for about 3 minutes before subsiding, so they had to make hasty movements if they wanted to arrive quickly.♠

"Correct" Terah would say as she began walking down the path with Llyod by her side. Terah was far too excited and wanting adventure to pay attention to the Tempingkuza or the transformations Llyod was making. As she walked, her pace would pick up, if Llyod could keep up, she would continue to hold her hand, if not, they would separate, but not by much distance.

It wasnt long after Terah began to speed up that screams could be heard. When she did, she would immediately stop, this was also the point where the roads forked. The right ones towards the screaming, and the left to nothing.

"OH NO!" She yelled out putting her right hand on the Hilt of the Bering Straight getting read to draw it.

"We should probably go in that direction" Terah would say to Llyod.

"Be prepared to defend yourself too" Terah would say looking around before she slowly began to move down the path that curved right.

*Lloyd being antsy to make a difference and well young he was about to leap into combat but was reminded by his amulet M.O.H. to listen to her however thinking of what his father would do if someone were in trouble he couldn't sit back and let someone get hurt so he leapt forward taking "flight" via the Tempingkuza mushi and landed 30 ft from the threat causing the issue drawing his shortsword and summoning his xen allies all over him underneath his cloak during this Lloyd held the other 3 Tempingkuza ready in the general area of the conflict ready to act in any way to assist.*

♠As Terah took the path, it would lead her long a gently turning road, which eventually straightened. Once it did, she would see about 100 yards in the distance a wagon that had been set ablaze with some magical purple fire. What Lloyd might see is some of the renegade elves leaving the scene, fleeing through tall grass and trees, heading towards a large gathering of willow trees towards the east/right road took towards. Near the wagon ablaze, stood several human women, all screaming their heads off, though there seemed to be no noise coming from any of them for some reason.♠

As Terah walked, Llyod would just jump away, using something weird to move about. Immediately, Terah would ignore the path and move straight towards Llyod keeping under and behind him. Since she was jogging, she would come to the scene a few seconds later, which meant she missed the person running, but she did see the people silently screaming, and the odd purple flames.

"Don't run off on me like that, what if you got hurt, I would never be forgiven" Terah would say, her hand still on the Bering Strait's hilt.

Terah would then slowly move towards the silently screaming woman, making sure not to move too fast in case any traps were waiting.

*Since Lloyd saw them run off he would sen the 3 Tempingkuza after them one per elf. once the string would attach to them he would have them swing them high in the sky within view of Lloyd held in flight by nothing but a string leading the the sky. If they managed to catch them Lloyd would send a swarm of Smokey, Manago and Un mushi towards them, to regular vision smokey would be visible as a plume of smoke possibly seen with a swarm of snails thrown at them, it would however take very sharp eyes to see the manago as black featureless snakes. The smokey mushi to hold them in place and still, the Manago to blind them and the Un to deafen them while they were held 40 ft from the ground so if they managed to free themselves they would find the fall down most likely very painful.*

*If his capture attempt was succesful on at least one of them he would watch after them and ask Terah to deal with tho people on fire. If none were succesful he would try and look for the nearest water source.*
"I got them you try and get them put out."

♠Of the elves that fled, one was an Imp class fairy, who disappeared into the shadows as soon as they detected danger and vanished from all tracing ability that Lloyd or Terah might have. The 2nd pulled a wand from his belt, and with a several quick jabs and swipes, unleashed several blasts of magical energy which knocked several of Llyod's alien like companions straight out of the sky, particularly the one that was trying to detain the elf himself. He then would cast an invisibility spell upon himself, causing him to be lost. The last was a little less lucky, being a Leprechaun, would be taken up by the string. However, he quickly whipped up a set of several bombs, which he tossed upwards, breaking the string and probably damaging the alien companion in the process. A moment later, while falling, a pair of metallic black wings sprouted from his back and carried him across the wind, though he flew close to the tops of the grass, headed towards the grouping of willows. As for any other alien companions that might be attempting to block his path or harm him, he would quickly conjure several small helicopter turrets, which fired off small exploding rounds, aiming to knock whatever unfriendlies there were out of the air.

Meanwhile, the women continued to screech silently as they ran around their wagon, still ablaze with the purple flames. As Terah neared, he night notice the women were not of elf decent, rather spriggan like, like Dryads, who wore thick wraps of brightly colored cloth, covering most of the creatures' bodies, except for their bark like face and large yellow-amber eyes, which glowed and might remind one of insect eyes. They seemed to be under some spell that prevented them from speaking, no doubt the work of the wand wielding elf. The wagon also was not being consumed by the purple flames, at least not very quickly. Rather, the cloth was ripped apart and the purple flames danced a top and throughout the wagon, causing small cracks and splinters in the wood to appear, as though it were aging slowly.♠

"Signal me if anything goes wrong, I'll try and figure out these flames, or whatever they might be" Terah would say moving towards the Wagon. As she approached the wagon she would pull a fist back and punch the air.

"Kazeken!" She would shout as a blast of air was unleashed from her punching fist. This Air would move the wind and blow a blast of wind towards the fire, attempting to blow it out like a candle flame.

*The first two Lloyd left but as soon as the mushi connected with the third with the short time it had in contact it would yank him up high into the air fast enough and far enough that he was within line of sight and high enough that the fall would be painful and most likely break legs on impact. The second after that with a release of smokey, Manago and Un Mushi they would swarm him fast enough to cover ground rapidly, especially since Lloyd took flight straight for him. With his xen allies summoned he swung his right and left hand where the barnacle attached and his the spore launcher held waiting. The barnacle would let loose its tongue to grab the elf and yank it towards Lloyd, as for the spore launcher although regularly a two handed gun it was still a living thing so with a command in a language consisting of grunts and slurs Lloyd had it launch a barrage of explosive spores the size of a baseball for the elf aiming for his wings but making it look like he was aiming for the elf himself instead. As for the turrets he summoned those would be dodged through a very rapid and swift flight maneuver enough to get close enough just before he would have a chance to escape. If he managed to deal with all other assaults he would still require to deal with Lloyd himself who rapidly summoned 5 more Tempingkuza high within the clouds with strings leading all the way down to the ground now surrounding the elf's general area all except the direction Lloyd was in.*

♠As the tongue shot outwards to attach and drag the elf back, it would hit something solid yet invisible about a foot before contacting the elf. A bluish forcefield hummed to life around the elf, protecting it from the swarms and the tongue, though when the spores hit it, the shield overloaded and exploded, creating a large mid-air smoke-screen and propelling the elf forwards while masking his true exact location. Once the shield combusted, the elf would continue flying in the direction of the Willow trees. However, he would be quickly caught in the strings summoned from Lloyd's friends. Upon hitting them, the Leprechaun yelled out, unleashing a concentrated flamethrowing blast around himself, attempting to free himself from any containment and continue on towards his destination.

Meanwhile, as Terah's air blast shot across the wagon, it failed to put the purple flames out; however, it did managed to push them away from the wagon, and cause them to fall in a heap on the ground nearby. There, it continued to flicker and burn, causing cracks to slowly form across the ground where it touched. The spriggan-like women quickly converged on the wagon once the flames were gone, pulling its contents apart in search of something, all still mouthing silently under the elf's silencing spell.♠

"What are you looking for!" Terah would shout to the woman.

She kept her eyes moving between the wagon and the flames making sure things didn't go wrong, again.

*When the elf had been caught by the string Lloyd wasted no time and had the mushi yank him straight towards Lloyd the second he began casting in attempt to throw him off with the jerking method that came with the mushi's rapid movement. It would even zig zag if the elf tried to cast the spell again once again causing a jerking method. Even if the fire was successfully cast though the mushi would have made it's path bring the elf higher as well so if the strong broke the elf would fall down to the ground. To make matters worse for the elf Lloyd resent out the Manago, Un and smokey Mushi in attempt to blind, deafen, and hide the mushi among the smoke mushi as well making their assault more hidden among the chaos. He even had the other remaining Tempingkuza to follow closely but far enough so the flamethrower wouldn't hit them ready to catch the elf if he broke free. During this Lloyd kept rushing his assault avoiding the flames best he could and resent out the tongue from the barnacle to latch onto the elf and yank him towards Lloyd or Lloyd towards the elf whichever was easier for the barnacle. As for his spore launcher it readied to send out a barrage of explosive spores once again for the elf if it managed to escape.*

*If Lloyd did manage to get within melee range of the elf he would swing his flight pattern behind the elf and hold the sword blade at the elf's throat uttering one single command with urgency and a "do it or die" manner*

"Put out the purple flame! DONT make me ask twice"

*With that he would closen the sword blade to his throat causing a slight cut on the outer layer of the skin but not deadly deep.*
