I have Rebuilt the Kwandrivia Roleplay World, there are new national banner and a simplified layout that is easier to use and has less subforums. I have also skipped the Civil War Idea I had and just made the new layout with that in mind.

The Laurentia Empire has now split into two nations, the Anglia Empire and the United States of Laurentia.

Ambush at the Lake: Minister Gerard's Escort to Death City

An artificial lake built long ago by digging up million of tons of dirt and transporting them to the Lofron Region to be terraformed. Initially the lake was a success, and communities thrived, but ever since the Dark Masque rolled in, nothing has been the same. What was once an almost blue and serene lake is now a tar black lake that holds only the most vile of fish. Still, even to this day, Coliginosity folk like to take a swim or two.

Ambush at the Lake: Minister Gerard's Escort to Death City

Tue Aug 05, 2014 1:36 pm

The lake was choppy, and rough, wind blew across the large body of water creating plenty of noise, and what could quite possibly be an obstacle for the group. the skies over the lake were dark, and purple clouds hung over it ready to drop torrents of rain down at anytime. The shore where the 4 would inevitably arrive was rocky, but has a small building and a dock, there was also two Magitek boats had the group the 50 credits to use it, the only problem was the wind was blowing towards the east and their destination was the north west.

ΩAs we arrived on the seen, I started to walk over towards the building and the dock, reading the sign on the outside, which told information about rentals. I paused, looking out across the lake, squinting to see how far across it was to the other side. I knew that neither of us had that sorta money to fund a boat trip. I turned to look at our group, my expression squinted in thought.Ω

"We need a way across...Any chance of excess money that could be used from either of you...?"

ΩI asked, looking towards Tatsui and the Minister, hoping that the Minister would be wealthy enough to fund the trip himself, since he was the one requesting assistance. I remained quiet, waiting for either of them to answer, while also keeping mental butterfly scouts out across the area, so as to keep tabs on whether there was any danger amok.Ω

♫I watched the lake as we came towards the shoreline, looking out across the water and then over towards the dock and building, watching as Kezia turned around. I listened to her question, turning my gaze towards Tatsui and the Minister after she finished. It was indeed above our price range to rent a boat...and I wasn't about to attempt to make a path across the lake myself with Crystallinite...I would probably be out of energy before we reached the other side. And besides, it would be easier to target the Minister if we went that route. I also waited, and kept my eyes out for any other people that might be around, wondering if the supposed assassins were even on the shoreline this very moment. At that thought, I tightened my grip in the rosary in my right hand, as I continued to scan the area, as nonchalantly as possible, waiting for the others to decide what to do.♫

The lake was a bit windy and, as mentioned, was surely going in a dfferent direction than they had wanted to go. However, the wind did not bother Tatsui in the least. Surely one of the siblings had something to do with wind? And if they didn't she could...but the real issue was getting across without burning out her mana pools. She scratched her chin, thinking...50 credits was far too much for her. Even if she knew she didn't have it, Tatsui reached into her pockets and turned them inside out anyway to give the others peace of mind that she neither had any credits enough to afford the boat ride.

"Nope...not any money, unfortunately."

She muttered, almost asking Kaza if he had any (which he would have had replied "Of course I don't! I'm a sword, not a BANK!"). Seeing that they were out of luck. Perhaps they could convince the boat renter to give one to them? Afterall, they apparently had someone very important...

The Minister stood there tapping his foot, first off the wind was bothering him, then there lack of funds, seconds was the boat and the lack of coins and third was just being here.

"I've never been one to keep more than ten credits on me, travelling has taught me that nothing is to be trusted." he would say with snark as he looked over the water.

This was the perfect place for an ambush, the water that was, and that was starting to worry the already worried minister,

ΩI let out a quiet sigh, looking outwards towards the water and the boats. I had half a mind to simply steal one of them...or give the tenants illusionary money. However, I had a certain stance of ethics that I wasn't about to break, thus I decided we would do this the hard way.Ω

"Alright then...Hezekiah, time to make our own boat."

ΩI said, walking across one of the docks as I spoke and calling him over. I pointed towards the water, indicating the best place to craft the vessel. Once Hezekiah would begin to work, I would place a hand on him, and lend him some of my energy, since ours were so similar, he wouldn't have a problem using it for Reality Bending. From there, I waited until he was finished.Ω

♫I followed my sister over on the dock and then, upon realizing what she wanted me to do, knelt down on the dock, outstretched towards the water below us. My hands glowed bright green, as did the Rosary in my left hand. The green spread out, as I began to bend the reality of the water, which was soon transformed into large green crystal like material, called Crystallinite. This began to grow and from, as it took more of the water, forming the bowing form of the bottom of a medium sized boat. As time went on, I called upon my sisters energy as well, not wanting to exhaust myself too soon. Eventually, the Crystallinite had formed the entirety of the boat we needed to comfortably ride upon. It was more like a raft than an actual boat, although with a slightly bowed bottom, but a flat deck, and sides that came up to the waist of a average individual. The raft had no rudder, nor sail, or other propulsion mechanism. There wasn't need to expend energy on such things, as after all, I could manipulate it much more easily once the Crystallinite was created, and with much less energy. I stood up once it was finished, wiping the sweat from my forehead and smiling wide.♫

"All finished!! All aboard!!"

♫I jumped on afterwards, and walked over to the front, placing my right hand on the side, as I took control once more and then waited for everyone to get aboard. Once everyone was I, the Crystallinite raft would began to glide of the surface of the water, towards the northwest, where they were supposed to be going. I also kept my eyes peeled for any disturbances in the water, hoping that any assassins were left on shore.♫

"Woohoo!!"

Tatsui said outloud as she jumped on the just made raft. She was hoping she wouldn't need make anything, though she could, as she much referred to keep her energy consumption low. As she stepped on the raft, a rose bloomed at the front of it almost immediately, despite it being made of Hezekiah's Crystallinite. It didn't take long for them to depart. Tatsui sat down, one side of her ponytail upon her shoulder, her fingers combing through it gently. Her eyes watched the edge of the makeshift raft make its own ripples as it cut through the water. She always had a liking to the way water worked. It was amazing in its own way. After a few minutes on the raft she heard a soft..

"Erghhhhhh...."

It sounded like a gross vomiting noise, so Tatsui turned around quickly to make sure no one was going to end up throwing up on her. Seeing at no one seemed to make that noise (at least their faces didn't show that they did), Tatsui furrowed her brow as she looked out on the surface of the water, trying to pinpoint where it came from. Weird...she swear she heard...

"Bleeeh........"

That sound was even louder now and more gross and even listening to it made her sick. Her expression turned into disgust and a bit of fear. It sounded so close to her too! Where the hell..........then she realized where it was coming from.

"Kaza! Are you...are you motion sick?!"

"Shut up, bian, we never go on boats!"

"We fly through the sky at top speeds, do loop turns and all that and you can't even handle a raft?!"

"SILENCE!"

Quietly, she shook her head, listening to Kaza groan and hold back a burp.

After a moment or two of hesitation and silence, the Minister too got onto the boat.

"I hope this hold up, I can not swim" he would say.

After a few minutes on the boat, he began to nervously look about, both towards the sky and towards the water.

"Let's hurry to land" he would say finally and quickly, before sitting with his back against the rear of the craft.

As the group got further onto the sea sized lake, the waves would begin to grow and get worse than they already were. White caps began to form, and from those, large curls of water almost too good for surfing on. It was then that something could be seen through the caps and waves, a lighthouse, shining it's blue beacon to anyone to anyone that could see it through the thick storm. Now there was two choices, tough out the storm, or head to the lighthouse.

For a split second, not a millisecond more a massive spike of mental power could be felt everywhere, like a sonar ping....

ΩAfter Heze finished with the raft-boat, I followed him aboard, smiling, letting small purple-pink mental butterflies hover in each corner of the raft. I then joined my brother at the helm, patting him on the shoulder.Ω

"Well done~"

ΩI whispered with a smile. My other hand clasped the side of the boat in front of me, as my eyes drifted across it's crystalline surface in admiration. I had always been secretly fond of my brother's ability. It was indeed quite handy and far more material than my own. My eyes rose moments later, as we continued out to sea, and my smile began to fade as the weather turned ill. And when the mental ping hit, I suddenly gasped, closing my eyes, my free hand clamping down on Hezekiah's shoulder, as I suddenly fell to one knee, my other hand coming to my forehead, as a glow of purple-pink mental energy pulsated from it, my mental defenses flaring up, small butterflies emerging from the glow and fluttering around me, as though for more protection.Ω

"....Something....Something is here..."

ΩI managed to say, with difficulty, loud enough for those aboard the craft to hear even over the storm. The mental disturbance didn't hurt, no...but it startled and scared me. The mental presence that I felt connected to the ping was large, perhaps not as much as I was used to from our father...but none-the-less still threatening, however brief a moment the glimpse was. More mental energy began to pour out around me, tendrils wrapping around me and more seeping into the boat itself, as though attempting to root myself to it...or perhaps seek out where the mental ping came from.Ω

"Thankz, Sis~"

♫I whispered back with a smile of my own, before turning back to man the boat. At first it was smooth sailing, however that quickly changed and it became harder and harder for me to remain in control. Eventually I simply resorted to keeping the boat from capsizing, leaving all attempts to move it across the now more dangerous waters. The sides of the boat began to grow upwards slowly, attempting to make the boat a little safer. I nearly jumped when Kezia grabbed me, and I turned, nearly letting go of the side of the boat, as I felt her fall down.♫

"Kezia!"

♫I exclaimed, turning to help her up. I must have missed whatever she felt, but our mental connection and my sister's reaction told me it couldn't be good. After I witnessing her powers began be unleashed and hearing what she had to say, I turned my eyes upwards towards the storm ridden sea, as my body was quickly enveloped in a shimmering green telekinetic aura, which seemed to originate from the jade rosary around my wrist. The boat itself, in response, seemed to glow in the same green aura also, adding to its defense, and pushing back at the water that battered it with renewed vigor. I kept my eyes on the surrounding water and storm, readying myself for whatever Kezia sensed...and whatever it was about to throw at us.♫

"!"

Tatsui's eyebrows knitted together in concentration as she felt a pang at her head, like a sudden fierce migrane taking form. Turning herself to the rest of the company, she started to speak...

"Guys--"

"OH GOD, I'm going to throw up-- URK!"

Her Zanpakutou gave out a cry as the psychic attack also hit him, his whooziness shaking the Zan to his core. Tatsui gave him a mental sigh. She closed her eyes in concentration as she pulled out her Navitas...like a string she pulled at the golden thread that was Photogess. Soon a barrier of yellow surrounded the whole raft. The barrier was less to block out the psychic attack (or any attacks for that matter), but rather was there to affect the party. The Photogess was to remove the negative effect of the psychic attack. The pulsing feeling of the psychic attack slowly pulled away from her. She felt Kaza give a slight sigh of relief, but the action was less so for him and moreso for Hezekiah's concentration. The worst would be for him to lose control and there they would go, floating in the ocean. And the minister couldn't swim, from what she remembered.

"Are you guys okay? Just gimme a sec..."

The woman reached for her belt and unclipped a round ball from it, holding it out onto the raft. A brilliant white light emerged from it and after it faded, a tiny bird appeared. It gave a gentle chirp and hopped around a couple of times while looking at her.

"Shou, scout around a little for enemies. Prepare for the psychic attack around the raft though. And don't engage unless I say so, okay? Be careful."

The Taillow gave a chirp, cast Agility upon itself before beating its wings and taking flight. It flew like an arrow into the air away from the raft, its wings spread as it looked for the psychic attacker with keen eyes.

*Let me know if this is legal regarding Photogess being able to block/remove negative energy (which I found as a way of purification).

The ping pierced through the Ministers head and easily. He grabbed both sides of his face and clenched them.

"Don't let it in..."he screamed with fear, clearly the attitude he had earlier was gone in the face of the fear.
