High Elven Halcyon Kingdom

The Halcyon Kingdom, also known to outsiders as the High Elven Halcyon Kingdom is the birthplace and home of all High Elves of Kwandrivia. The Halcyon Kingdom is a green and natural paradise who's lands are both untouched by man, and left to grow as nature intended. The High Elves dedicate their lives to pursuing spiritual enlightenment and unity with nature instead of conflict and war like the humans and other species. No Nation stands united through the ages like Halcyon does. Instead of building structures like skyscrapers and suburbs, the High Elves choose to build thier homes in massive hanging communities built around trees and rocks. The largest of these communities is Zenthel, a massive sprawling tree built community that has existed since the dawn of Elven-kind. It is around the Mountain Sized Great Oak tree that Elven civilization started and continues to flourish. Because Zenthel and other Elven communities build thier communities in the trees, bridges, catwalks, multistory homes and handing buildgins can be seen spiderwebbing everywhere along the communities built up around the roaring Zenthel River.

the Princess of Zenthel, like all before her has a strict policy that all outsiders must wear a black cloak with their respective species on it, Even elves who do not live in the Halcyon Kingdom must wear their. Not wearing a cloak in the Halcyon Kingdom is a crime punishable by death. Cloaks can be found at all Halcyon Borders or all ways into the nation. Places like the Great Oak, and the Cathedral of Kaia are all but forbidden for non Halcyon folk to even go near.

  • Great Oak
The Great Oak tree is the most Sacred place within all of the High Elven Halycon Kingdom. It is known to be thousands of years old and is the birthplace of the High Elven race. It is the single god, single deity and single thing the High Elf worship. It is here a High Elf is born and dies. Likewise it is the centre of the city and the heart of the Halcyon Kingdom. The tree is also home to the current Prince/Princess of the Halcyon Kingdom and is where the richest of the High Elven live. Rooms of all shapes and sizes are built atop it's branches, thousands of rope bridges connect each room.

  • Zenthel City
In Zenthel City, the buildgins and homes are build upon large rocks and around tree trunks and tree branches. Each building is of a similar construction and each one is made of woven vines, rocks and magically grown back that have been grown into these hanging homes for hundreds of years. Each home is passed from generation to generation or simply given to a new owner when needed. The homes at the heart of the city are the oldest and each time new one is needed it must be grown. Buildings built atop rocks are made from the rocks themselves. Any homes built on the ground are done so with extra care not to disturb and wildlife.

  • Palace of Kaia
At the base of the Great Oak is a High Elven palace that has been there since the dawn of the species. Over time the Palace has been built more and more lavish using imported goods and goods won from battles. The Palace is a shimmering white and gold that is constantly cleaned and maintained. Within the Palance the Princess/Prince conducts his/her daily business. The Palace also acts as the cities Financial District, Military Headquarters and Governmental Headquarters all in one place. High Elves without permission can never enter these walls, so the odds of an outsider entering are non existent.

Deep inside a large petrified tree trunk are the nesting grounds of some of Kwandrivia's most ferocious but tame beasts. The beasts have come to trust and care for their nature loving friends and wish to make pacts with anyone who comes here.

  • Magikami Monument
Deep beneath the Great Oak is a shrine guarded by two 3rd Rank Elven Warriors. It is beyond these warriors that a space of null energy, lies. Within this null energy zone, all forms of energy are rendered useless, except a small amount to keep a person alive. Within their pitch black charcoal coloured room as a single monument, an obelisk. This monument is the start of the Magikami Aspect.

  • Hanging Bazaar
As one makes it further and further towards the heart of Zen City, one will find that the area around the Great Oak Tree becomes more and more dense with buildings, people and trees. It is in this dense area that one can find the Hanging Bazaar. The Hanging Bazaar is the heart of the Halcyon Kingdom's financial and commercial power. Shops, company offices, and small local sized good manufacturers literally line the treetops.

To the east of Zenthel City where the Halcyon River converges into a single river again is an area known as the Vldreyln Valley. Here massive mountains rise up from the landscape to form a site tht was the original homeland of the Dwaves before they were driven out of the area. All through the area are dwarven ruins and remains of what once was.

Lake Triumph and Lake Halcyon Act as a natural border between Laurentia and the Halcyon Kingdom. Both Lakes are preserved and protected under Halcyon law and with the help of the Legion of Kwandrivia Nations, Laurentia has also accepted that these lakes are protected. The mountain range that border the two nations also helps.

1.3 million Kronv Humans live here and follow Elven rule as second class citizens. They have come to know this location as their only home and kinda hope it stays that way. They have no desire for independence, and no desire to leave. They are the sole supplier of a rare type of tree resin to the High Elves.

  • Birchbark City
Birchbark City is the capital and home of the Wood Elves, here they reside in peace and have a strong alliance with the High Elves, they are calm and open minded folk who would do ANYTHING to keep the woods safe and clear. Birchbark is named after the dense Birchwood forest the city is built in. Unlike the High Elves Zenthel City, Birchwood is built entirely on land. This allows the Wood Elves to be as close to nature as possible.

City of the Crimson Trunks, in this land, the trees all leak a red sap that looks like blood. This is collected by the locals and sold as Blood Syrup to other High Elves and exported at crazy prices to outsiders. Blood Syrup has neural calming properties that make even the angriest of folk relax.
